Windows 10 Should You or Shouldn’t You?

First of all Windows 10 launches on July 29th 2015 and it’s FREE, FREE, and FREE. Yes you have read correctly Windows 10 is available for free to users who have legal and genuine installation of selected Windows 7 OS and to devices using Windows 8.1. So if you have an illegal copy of Windows then no freebie for you.

A question you might ask is whether Windows 10 is for you or are there any different features which you might need?

Windows 10 takes up the reigns from Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 so there will not be a Windows 9.

Have a desktop? Yes windows will work on virtually any desktop and there is also a Windows compatibility checker which would flag any known issues.

Gone is the hated Windows 8.1 start screen which is replaced with a new start menu. Windows 10 has the ability to run modern style apps and also the voice-powered personal assistant Cortana, makes her debut. Cortana takes over the search box to the right of the Start button after you complete a few quick setup steps.

There is an Action Center, with notifications and buttons for common system tasks, This action center appears on the right side and it replaces the Windows 8.1 Charms menu.

Windows 10 also includes a new tablet mode designed to make operation easier on devices that lack a keyboard and mouse.

Some of the other features of Windows 10 are new biometric support (Windows Hello) and a collection of first-party apps: Photos, Mail, Calendar, and MSN News, Sports, Money, Travel, and Weather apps.

Windows 10 devices now all share a single Windows Store, and this offers access to Universal Windows Apps capable of running on devices of many different sizes.

The new Microsoft Edge browser is in current preview releases, but is still using the Project Spartan codename.

Just a few of the new goodies, need to know more? Just hit me a comment or question and more details will be given.
